A simple and soulful place for enjoying the south of Jordan is Beidha (known as little Petra). There's the Ammarin Bedouin Camp there which the Ammarin's themselves have developed organically over the years and service with a lot of care and love. I seek it when I need a place in nature off the beaten track. Around the corner from the camp is the site of the Siq al-Barid, as well as a Neolithic site, and lot of untouched spaces. The Ammarins are happy to show you around, share their stories and know when to leave you alone. The camp is bedouin style with a common tent and other private ones to sleep in, and has clean restrooms, showers, a kitchen and a special little museum with tons of stories. A night at the Ammarin Camp in Beidha is my miracle cure. Their site is www.bedouincamp.net
